The Long White Sleeveless Duster Jacket

The sleeveless white duster jacket with Chanel espadrilles

For this look, I wanted to go back to my roots a bit and delve into some colour in the form of my beloved burgundy. Burgundy, black and white has been a favourite colour combination of mine for years now, so I love experimenting with different ways of wearing it. My all time favourite pair of coloured jeans are my Koral Los Angeles skinny jeans in Merlot, as you probably already know, so I decided to pair them with a simple black tank top from ASOS and then layer this new Topshop belted d-ring sleeveless duster jacket over the top and finished it off with my Chanel canvas espadrilles in paint splatter and my Balenciaga mini city in black suede.

I’ve been really into long waistcoat or sleeveless jacket styles at the moment too, which I’m sure you might have noticed as I have quite a few, but I love this one for summer. It’s extremely light weight and floaty, so it falls nicely. Plus, being the ivory shade that it is, it matches everything. Unfortunately my Chanel espadrilles did end up giving me blisters! But I’m still working on them and trying to get them to fit better. It’s really nice to wear something so colourful again though, I’ve been drifting towards black and white with grey so much lately that colours (aside from my latest rain look) are evading me. I’d love to know what you think of this look though! Comment and let me know!

It’s always great to see a splash of colour. 🙂 The whole outfit works together beautifully – you look very sophisticated and glamorous. I especially like those jeans – what a fabulous colour they are! 🙂

My favourite photo of this shoot is the first one.. and you probably already know what I’m going to say next now. LOL But ( at risk of repetition) I’ll say it anyway. 😉 I just love how each garment that you’re wearing is colour matching something different in the background. Your black top to the railings, your white jacket to the window frames (and elements of the stonework) and your jeans are a pretty close match to whatever is going on in that nearest big window. Love it! 😀

Thank you Steven 🙂 You pick up on the most subtlest of details, ha ha! I actually chose it because I like the colour scheme of the green in there too and the pavement looks nice. It’s a really nice area to shoot photos there 🙂

LOL I’m spotting and crediting you for your unintentional triumphs now am I? 😉

I agree with you on the green too anyway, The whole colour scheme is very striking, joking aside, you do choose your locations so well. I find how different colours work (or don’t work) together to be an endlessly fascinating subject. 🙂

It is definitely something we take into account, we always look for a location which is fitting, or completely contrasting 🙂 But you seem to notice the details that nobody else does, which is great 😀

I love burgundy and I loved the Chanel espadrilles, too! I also liked the bracelets very much and the pictures are very beautiful, and you too! In fact, this is such a coincidence – I will show a long gilet on Monday – but mine was not so well styled, yours is! Hope you are having a very nice day!

Great look. The black and burgundy pair together so well and they are enhanced by that wonderful sleeveless jacket. LOVE the espadrilles, I’m so jealous.
