Wear It Wild Campaign With Me And WWF

Wear It Wild – My Leopard Print Outfit

I’m really excited to announce that I have teamed up with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on their Wear It Wild campaign! On June 5th, they are encouraging everyone to wear something animal printed (either full on, middle ground like me, or subtle) to help raise awareness and support for endangered animals. When I had found out that 52% of the worlds wildlife population had decreased since 1970, I was in shock. I know certain animals are becoming critically endangered (even some extinct) and a lot of the world gets destroyed for human living, but I had no idea just how bad it was. 52% is a huge amount in just 45 years. Doing the maths on that means if things carry on the way they are, it wont be too long before it’s all gone and that’s devastating.

I’m sure you know by now that animals are something that I care deeply and passionately about. I am most at home when I am with animals and surrounded by nature. Even though I’m a fashion blogger and I love clothes and shopping, I still feel most relaxed and content in nature. I have always had a strong pull towards it, especially as a kid, I would live outside with the bugs and make dens etc and be in my absolute element. Now I have more of an understanding of how important the earths natural survival is, I like to be able to help. I always go out of my way to care for injured or helpless animals, even insects as I’m a strong believer that all life is as important as another, no life is superior, and I get highly stressed out when I experience nature being destroyed, especially trees as I most recently found out unfortunately. So, with all of that in mind and given how much I care, I’m am only too happy to be supporting this campaign. When I stop and think how much damage the human race has done to the world and the animals in it, just destroying their homes and lives for our existence, it’s haunting.

Big cats are one of my favourites, so I put together this outfit from pieces I already had in my closet and became a leopard for the day, making a funny video as well (which you can see below) and having some fun with it. Everyone who is taking part will be doing this on 5th June, so I strongly encourage you to wear an animal print too and help support them. Even if you can’t as work attire doesn’t permit it, you can still do you part by texting WILD to 70060 which will donate £5 to the charity. You can find out more about Wear It Wild by clicking here, but I really hope you guys find this as important as I do. I’d love to know what you dress up as! And of course, please do let me know what you think of me as a leopard and whether or not you like the campaign video Adam and I put together! Please watch in HD with sound.

The WWF is such a good cause. I’ve been sponsoring polar bears via a monthly donation to them for several years now. No reason why they can’t have another £5 from me though. 🙂 I’ll be at work most of the day so I can’t dress up as anything there… but afterwards I could.

The only thing in my wardrobe that might just about qualify is my turkey onesie. So far I’ve only ever worn it once on Christmas Day last and half scared my little nephew in the process! lol It’s due another outing.

Great video! You make such a cute and funny leopard. I never knew they had such a sweet tooth though. 😀 Great outfit too and I especially like those jeans.

That’s really kind of you! I’m so glad you support too 🙂 I had a tiger that I adopted from them too! Dressing as a turkey sounds hilarious, but as it’s for a great cause we can only enjoy it! You will have to show me a photo! Since I’ve done my leopard look early, I’m not sure what I might dress as for the actual day. I do have a leopard onesie (yes, I like cats, lol!) so maybe I might go all out in that! Thanks for your kind comments all the time Steven 🙂 They are a pleasure to read!

Thanks for the kind words. 🙂 Your blog is always a pleasure to visit.

The one drawback of the turkey onesie is that I ended up as a roast turkey! It’s a very warm outfit to wear.

OK, here’s a photo of me wearing it at Christmas. I’ve just posted it up on my otherwise very moribund and unused twitter page so that you can have a laugh. lol

When I walked into the kitchen on Christmas morning my parents just stared at me incredulously until they started laughing. It was worth the £7 I paid just to get that reaction. 😉

Lorna the outfit is adorable on you ♡

It is truly sad that so many animals are dying and becoming extinct due to us as humans… I hope we somehow change things around for our children and grandchildren ♡

Despite the cute cat make-up, I think that it’s your amazing legs that truly steal the show here.
Well aided by those wicked heels of your boots; and of course shown off to max effect by this special way of
posing that you by now know I adore endlessly. Thank you so much for this post, Lorna. It really made my day.
