The Flares, The Hat & The Faux Fur

The faux fur sleeveless jacket with dark blue flared jeans

I didn’t get hair extensions, before you think it! These photos were shot a few weeks ago and I didn’t get around to posting them yet on my fashion blog, which is why my hair is still long here. I do have a couple more to post with long hair too, so I will be sharing those as soon as I can. I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend and have some fun plans! I don’t have much planned myself, I’m thinking a quiet weekend is in order as I’ve been too busy lately and stressing out too much. Time to relax a bit.

For this outfit, I wore a pair of flared jeans! I rarely ever wear them as I struggle with inseam lengths on them. Having shorter legs means I have to always hem them, even with 6 inch heels, and it usually loses a lot of the flare so I tend to not get on so well with them. I got these Citizens of Humanity Sculpt flares in Ozone though from the brand as I wanted to get over my fear of them. I had to do a lot of tucking and folding as they were extremely long on me, but I think they turned out quite nice actually. The Sculpt is a great new fabric from the brand which stretches all ways and never bags out! This is always an bonus point as jeans can get saggy way too much.

I paired them with my Topshop Faux Fur Gilet in Ombre and a White Cropped Top too. I then chose an older hat that I have and my Topshop Slick Platform shoes, which you can’t really see, finished off with some Topshop jewellery. This isn’t a look that I would usually wear at all, as I’m sure you have probably noticed, but I really like experimenting and branching out with my choices at the moment as I’m going through one of those phases where I get bored quite easily and can never find anything to wear, despite having lots of clothes. I’m sure you all know what I’m on about! Anyway, let me know what you think of this outfit in the comments below!

And there was me just thinking that you have extremely quick growing hair… 😉

That’s a great hat – especially for the sunny days which seems to have arrived now. 🙂

It’s my birthday tomorrow so my weekend will involve meeting up with family. It’s nice to have an extra long weekend for it anyway. 🙂

My parents gave me a tablet computer and case. That was a lovely surprise! Other relatives have given me money and gift cards so far. 🙂

    Hey Lorna,

I love your reviews! Any chance you’re going to write a new G-Star review in the future? I am looking forward reading your review of such jeans 🙂

Hi! So glad you like them! I haven’t got any new G-Star jeans, I don’t really wear them as they aren’t my style much anymore, so I can’t say a new review of those will be coming anytime soon unfortunately. I’m always posting my new ones on The Jeans Blog though, so keep a check there 🙂 http://thejeansblog.com

Aw I love this hippie look so much! The ombre fur vest is the best! I have trouble with flared jeans too but they help you look so much taller! I would never have thought that you had short legs at all!

I find flares really tricky too xx They are always an awkward length, I like the furry vest though xx
