Merlot & Grey With A Bum Bag Twist

Wine coloured skinny jeans with a grey cardigan and bum bag…

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Adam and I tried out a new restaurant on Saturday, choosing to eat at Ask Italian. It’s the first time we have been there and I can’t say I was overly fussed by the food, I would probably rate my salad at a 6 out of 10, but the sorbet was really nice and so was the actual restaurant, so maybe I might need to try something else next time we go there! I was also really, really excited that Build A Bear finally had the Captain America bear I have been after! Just had to share that, ha ha!

So getting to my outfit, I wore my ever faithful Koral Merlot Skinny Jeans, pairing them with my GAP Merino Wool Sweater for the base. I then layered over my River Island Waterfall style Cardigan, to add some more layers and warmth to my look. I did also have a grey scarf and gloves, but it’s not pictured here. For my accessories, I chose my Zara Quilted Bum Bag or Belt Bag, or Fanny Pack (this one is almost identical), whichever you like to call it, and finally opted for my New Look Heeled Boots.

Even though I don’t tend to showcase bum bags on my blog very much, I actually own a couple of them and I absolutely adore them! You probably know already (as I’ve mentioned before) that I can’t carry heavy items due to my shoulders, so sometimes even my regular bags can cause a bit of pain. With a belt bag however, it’s so much easier! There’s no pressure on your shoulders at all and everything is right in front of you at your waist, so it’s easy to carry and access your items. I know they have such a stigma behind them, from the 80’s and 90’s or for being unfashionable, however I think the newer styles like these are really stylish and on trend. Definitely ones that I could see numerous fashion bloggers wearing since Chanel even released a similar one. I’d love to know your thoughts on fanny packs and of course my outfit! I love reading and replying to every comment you all leave! Plus, if you like my look, please feel free to share it via social media! Thank you everyone! Have a fantastic Monday!

I love the color palette of this outfit. I never thought of a fanny pack as a fashion accessory before but this actually looks really great

I have honestly never seen someone wear a “fashionable” fanny pack. It actually pulls the outfit off really well, and with your shoulder/back problems that must be awesome!

I think salads always under-perform in winter. Go and have the same meal again in summer and you might up the score a bit. 😉

    Lovely outfit anyhow. 🙂
