The Floral Shirt & Denim Shorts At The Park

These photos are from two weekends ago when I spent the evening in the Botanical Gardens with my boyfriend. It was pretty much deserted as it was quite late, so it was beautiful to have the place all to ourselves. Since I’m very light footed and a quiet person, animals are always drawn to me as I think they sense that I love them, so feeding them is something that makes me happy and just sitting with them. It’s so relaxing and calming and something that I need every now and then as I’m always so wrapped up in work.

I was lucky that it was warm out so I could still be in shorts. Speaking of which, these are my vintage Levi’s denim shorts in black from Urban Outfitters. I got these two years ago, not long after I got my blue pair, however I ended up with a smaller size and didn’t realise, so they had always been too tight on me, but since I have changed shape and lost a few pounds, they fit me now. Tightly I might add, but they do, so I can finally wear them! Now onto this gorgeous shirt, I saw it in the day time before going to the park. It was on the hanger in River Island and I just fell in love with it entirely. It’s really silky and the floral print is very intense and bold. I can’t wait to wear it again, maybe with jeans this time, but it looks great with either shorts or jeans. For my shoes, I went with my Topshop Koala espadrilles in Black as they are so comfortable. I’ve got a bit of a thing for espadrilles lately, since I can’t get hold of the Chanel ones, I thought I should make up for it with a black pair and I’ve worn these so many times! The comfort level is crazy as I wore them around London yesterday!

Now onto my accessories, yes, I have new Ray-Bans! I got these beautiful Ray-Ban Erika Sunglasses in Purple from Shade Station and am obsessed with them! I already have the Erika sunglasses in red as you have seen before, so the purple is simply stunning in person! They are the velvet frames, just like the red pair, and the lenses are mirrored purple too. I’m adoring mirrored lenses! I opted for my Mulberry Lily bag in Oak too! For my jewellery, I have this lovely pink and navy bangle from Crew Clothing, my Mac by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono Watch and some various other bracelets. So, it’s just a really simple and easy outfit for an evening in the park. I also have some really exciting news to share with you soon, but let me know what you think of this outfit! I would love to know!

So cute, Lorna! I’ve never really been all that successful dressing up shorts (I always just end up in one of my jeans, when I try, lol!), much less cut-offs! I love the combination of a flowery blouse and the black actually balances it out and gives the cut-offs a more dressy look, even with the espadrilles! As usual, I adore your style 🙂
