My Favourite Bags

I thought it would be nice to share with you some of my favourite bags that I own. I usually always get asked what my favourite jeans are, so I thought it might be a good idea to also share my favourite bags with you too! You will have noticed already that I have a lot of smaller bags, often the mini versions or small cross-body bags as I don’t like bigger ones. Sometimes if I am travelling quite far, I will need a bigger tote to carry all of my things in, but for day to day things, I always have really small bags. I have delicate shoulders that tend to pop out of their sockets so I can’t carry anything heavy without causing myself pain. Plus, since I’m quite small, bigger bags tend to overwhelm me and make me look even smaller, which is often another reason for choosing smaller bags too. So, onto my 8 favourite bags from my collection!

Above is my Balenciaga Mini City Baby Diam Bag in Black Suede. You all know already that I sold about 20 pairs of jeans to get this bag! There was no way that I could ever afford a Balenciaga or even save for it at a fast pace, so the only solution was selling a lot of my own things. It was definitely worth it though! I don’t really own black bags and this one has had so much use already! It’s made with such attention to detail, it’s soft, it’s not too heavy and it looks beautiful too! It couldn’t be more perfect if it tried and I am really glad that I bought it! Buy it online here.

Next up is my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown. If you have been a long time reader of my blog then you will know that this bag was on my want list for over a year! I couldn’t afford it when it first came out as it cost too much, but then it sold out really quickly and was impossible to find! I would check eBay multiple times a day as well as finding out what stock the Mulberry outlets had in on a weekly basis! I almost gave up hope, which is when I bought the Mini Taylor in Sycamore as it was a very close colour, but then a few months later (about a year and a half from the start) one popped up on eBay from a TPF member who had purchased it from Selfridges! I didn’t mind that it had been used a couple of times, I was over the moon that I finally had it and it’s even more perfect in person! It’s the most beautiful shape and size and the colour is incredible! Again, this is a bag that I have worn so many times!

Next would have to be my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB Tote in Port Burgundy. I know that you have seen this bag so many times here on my blog! It was my go to all throughout Autumn! I originally got the Plum version from Shopbop, but I didn’t find it went with many of my clothes and since burgundy was my all time favourite colour, I decided to get it in that shade too and it worked out perfectly. It’s like a mini tote because the top remains open and it has top handles, so I can carry it around as a tote by the handles or attach the shoulder strap to it and wear it that way. It’s definitely a great bag! It’s served me well! Buy it online here.

cambridge satchel wine matte

Then my Cambridge Satchel Company 11″ Satchel in Wine Matte would be next. This was my first Cambridge Satchel actually and I purchased it as an exclusive on ASOS. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep it originally as it wasn’t what I had expected it to be, however I am really glad that I did because I have worn it multiple times. The colour is really intense and pretty too, the only annoying thing about it though is that you have to undo the buckles all the time to open it, but they have since brought out a magnetic clasp version! Buy it online here.

mulberry-alexa-clutch-sparkle-powder-beige

Next is my Mulberry Alexa Clutch in Sparkle Tweed Powder Beige. This one holds very fond memories for me as it was my very first Mulberry bag! I bought this gorgeous one at the Mulberry Factory Shop in Shepton Mallet a few years ago. I saw it on the table there and was thinking should I or shouldn’t I, but then someone else picked it up and I was panicking, hoping they would put it back down. They did, thank goodness and then I snapped it up that instant and took it to the checkout! I have used it multiple times and I adore the subtle sparkle that it has to it. My clothing colours do transfer onto the back of the bag, but I don’t mind too much.

mulberry-lily-oak-brown-bag

I would say next would be my Mulberry Lily in Oak. It was a really complicated situation with this bag as I had wanted it the same time that I had wanted the Mini Taylor in Deer Brown. It wasn’t good wanting two bags at the same time, especially when they were both so expensive. This one popped up on eBay though as I couldn’t afford the price tag at retail (don’t worry, it’s authentic) and I was really excited about getting it. The Lily is such a pretty shape and it’s so classic, especially in Oak, you can’t go wrong! Unfortunately just after I bought this one, a Mini Taylor in Deer Brown did pop up and I missed out! But it all worked out in the end. Buy it online here.

marc-by-marc-jacobs-karlie-dandelion

Then my Marc by Marc Jacobs Karlie Clutch in Dandelion. Again, this bag holds many memories for me as it was my very first Marc by Marc Jacobs bag! I got it from Net-A-Port a few years ago and it got me through so much! It’s really tiny as you can see and also has its own credit card slots inside! The yellow is incredibly intense and I also put some little Blue Nose Friends bag charms on it. I’ve worn this to weddings and so many other places, I still love it as much as I did in the beginning and I even have one in bright pink too!

rebecca-minkoff-mini-mac-port-burgundy

And finally my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC in Port. It’s the same colour as my Mini MAB above, but I did actually get this one first. I had a Mini MAC in Lilac and a Mini 5 Zip in Mint, but as soon as I saw this one online, I knew that I had to have it. Again, I have worn it multiple times since it’s burgundy and it matches so many of my clothes. I think the Mini MAC is such a classic that you just have to own one! Buy it online here.

I do of course have a lot of other bags that I love and wear quite often, but since I was only picking 8 here, I can’t include them all unfortunately! But these would definitely be some of my favourites for one reason or another! Which bag do you like the most?

I’ve always wanted to own an Alexander Wang Rocco or Rockie bag too! Ever since I first saw them in black with the silver studs on the bottom, I thought they were so cool! Unfortunately for me though they are way too heavy and I don’t think I would be able to carry one around. For Spring though, I found this new little baby blue leather Rockie which you can see below (also comes in baby pink) and I thought how beautiful would it look with the iridescent studs on the bottom which the creamy yellow one has? That combination would look incredible! I think if it came with a mix of those two, I would have to buy one regardless of it being heavy!

Hello! could I ask if your mini MAB tote is in leather or saffiano leather, and do you worry that it will lose its structure over time? I love how it looks but I think it won’t look as cute if it starts sagging so I’m in two minds about getting it! 😡
Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi, it’s just the normal leather. It’s not soft though, it’s incredibly structured and stiff so I don’t believe there is any chance of it sagging. I’ve worn both of mine loads and never experienced any form of misshaping due to how structured it is. Which colour are you getting? Have you seen these gorgeous colours here? They are amazing!!

Thanks for your reply! Im definitely going to get one then, was thinking of getting a fuschia one but the tortoro and turquoise shades are simply beautiful as well! Decisions, decisions 😉

I have Tortora in the Mini Affair and it’s really pretty! At first I wasn’t sure about it because it’s a really pale, grey type of purple, but it suits most things! Turquoise is amazing though, I’ve seen it and it’s stunning! As is the fuchsia 😀 When you order one, could I ask that you do it via my blog at all? The shop would then know I referred you! No worries if not, just a thought! I’m hoping to try and work with Rebecca Minkoff more and it might help in some way, maybe, lol!

Thanks for your comments =) I read & reply every one =)
