I mentioned to you previously that I went to a museum on Sunday with my boyfriend. We went to the American Museum in Bath as they had a Gangsters & Gun Slingers exhibition on. My boyfriend loves cowboys and gangsters so he loved to see the old guns and memorabilia from the famous legends all those years ago. They also had so much history there, especially to do with the Native Indians and I also found out where the saying ‘sleep tight’ came from. All those years ago when they didn’t have current beds, they had ropes crossed over each other on the bed frame, which they would place the bedding on top of, but the weight of the bedding caused the ropes to sink down, so they had a tool to tighten the ropes up to sleep straight, hence the saying, sleep tight. I thought that was really cool. I love going to museums and learning about history.
The grounds there are amazing! It’s high up so it looks right over Bath and you can see so much countryside and scenery, it’s truly stunning! I had no idea just how much countryside and forest area surrounded me until I saw that! We had a biscuit and drink at the cafe, but there were wasps there and I’m so petrified of them! I would never hurt them, but I can’t stand still when one is near, I have to move away and hide, which is embarrassing because people stare at me like I’m a lunatic, ha ha. Aside from the wasps though, I had a really lovely time there.
For the day, I wore my 7 For All Mankind Skinny Jeans, my Pull & Bear PU Leather Sleeve Parka Jacket, my new Sam Edelman Posey Boots and my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac in Port. I wanted something comfortable and casual for a museum trip and this definitely fitted the bill. As you know I do love Sam Edelman shoes and boots as I have a few pairs, but I recently got these and fell in love with them! They are much like my beloved Petty boots, but I adore the chain detail around the middle of them. It makes the boots so unique and pretty in my opinion. You will definitely be seeing a lot more of these soon! Especially when Autumn hits and with black or burgundy jeans! I also thought it was about time that I wore this jacket again, I don’t think I have worn it for so long! It’s too light weight for Winter wear, and it was too hot during the summer, so now is the perfect temperature for it. As always, comment and let me know what you think of my outfit! I love your opinions!
