A very long time ago, maybe 9-10 years ago, I saw an ad in Vogue magazine for an Omega watch that Cindy Crawford was wearing. It was called the Quadrella Quartz and was silver/platinum with ruby, emerald, sapphire and canary yellow stones for the numbers. It also featured diamonds on the casing and was absolutely stunning! That was the very first time I found a love for Omega watches. The style also came in the round Constellation shape, which is the one Cindy is wearing below, but the rectangular Quadrella was the one I have always loved. Obviously back then, I was about 16 years old, so purchasing a watch like that wasn’t an option, neither is it today unfortunately as they are very expensive, but it still remains as my dream watch.
For now, I’m sure you have already noticed, I really like rose gold watches. I have a Marc by Marc Jacobs rose gold watch, which I wear all the time, and I also have a Daniel Wellington one with a gold face. One of the other Omega watches that I love (which is newer and available) is a rose gold Aqua Terra with a black face and diamond bezel. I saw this online a few weeks ago and my jaw almost dropped at how pretty it was. Clearly I can’t afford to purchase an Omega watch like this, so I found a very similar Marc by Marc Jacobs one, without a black face, and I like it almost as much! I guess this post is more like a save or crave type of post, where there’s an amazing designer piece and then a much less expensive item which almost looks the same. Which would you pick if you had the choice? The Omega Aqua Terra in Rose Gold or the Marc by Marc Jacobs Henry Glitz in Rose Gold?
You can see the watch that I was talking about in the middle of this photo below. The original Quadrella Quartz that I fell in love with all those years ago. Isn’t it gorgeous? I also thought I would include my boyfriends favourite watch, the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra with a blue face. This has been his dream watch for many years now as well. I think it’s really beautiful and would look quite appealing on his wrist! I would love to know if any of you have got an Omega watch. Are you lucky enough to own one?
