As you all know, it was my 25th birthday yesterday and this is the outfit I wore for my birthday lunch out with some of my family. Thank you to everyone who sent me birthday messages! I received so many I can’t count, I appreciate every one of them though, I am thankful you took the time out to send me one!
I got gifted this gorgeous dress from Love My Figure Love My Fashion, which is a new online company that sells branded dresses, but with a difference. You input your bust, waist and hip measurements and then the calculator lets you know which body shape you are, based on those measurements. After telling you your shape (I’m hourglass), it takes you to the page which has the dresses best suited to that body shape, and I can say that it definitely works as I have known my body shape for a long time and I know that a deep v neck and a pulled in waist is definitely the most flattering on my figure. I knew I would love the fit of this LOVE navy polka dot dress because of that flattering fit! Not to mention I adore polka dots! The dress is see through from the waist down though, which is why I had to put a navy mini skirt underneath it to prevent any underwear mishaps, ha ha. If you purchase this dress, I definitely recommend wearing a skirt under it or leggings/dark tights.
I’m wearing a LOVE Navy Polka Dot Dress with an ASOS Navy Mini Skirt underneath, my Topshop Gabbi Metallic Toe Cap Heels, my Cambridge Satchel 11″ in Wine Matte and my gorgeous Baccarat Psychedelic Blue Crystal Pendant.
I thought this look was perfect as my birthday outfit for lunch out as it’s quite feminine and pretty. My grandparents, mum, brother and boyfriend were at the meal and I definitely had a lovely time. I like to do small and quiet things like that rather than have a party as I’m so not a party person. The meal out will definitely give me better memories! I have included some photos below as well from the lunch, so I hope you like those! The boy in the photos on the right is my brother. My boyfriend generally prefers to take the photos than be in them as I am sure you have noticed through reading my blog and my mum didn’t want to be in them either as she’s camera shy. I also went to the cinema to see Monsters University with my boyfriend, so I definitely had a nice quiet birthday like I wanted. I will be doing a separate post on my cake and gifts, as I know you all like to see those since I have had requests already! I got a few lovely gifts! I can’t wait to share them with you! So, what do you think of my outfit? Do you like it?
Here are the photos from the meal out! My grandad, my nan and my brother are the only ones in these photos as like I mentioned above, my mum and boyfriend didn’t want to be in the photos.
