I got to choose these gorgeous Ombre Blue TOMS to style and I couldn’t have been more excited! I love TOMS as you know and have about 4 pairs of them already, they are perfect for running errands in and I love them with outfits as they are sleek, but most of all I really do like their one for one policy where they donate shoes to people in need for every pair purchased. I wanted to embrace Spring and go with something colourful which is why I chose my Zara pink blazer and a paler pink top underneath to contrast against the blue. To add another primary colour to the mix I then chose my Marc by Marc Jacobs Karlie bag in Dandelion to brighten things up even more. I wanted to keep a base tone though and something neutral which is why I opted for my Hudson Nico white skinny jeans, to counteract too much colour. For my accessories, I chose my beloved Swarovski Tinkerbell necklace and my Adele Marie fuchsia Swarovski bangle, both of which I have had for some years! I’m incredibly ready for Spring now and can’t wait to start colour blocking more. What do you think of the outfit? Comment and let me know!
This is a really simple and casual outfit that I wore a couple of weekends ago. I hadn’t worn J Brand in ages, so I decided to pull out my older J Brand skinny jeans in grey, but since they fit me a little bit loosely now, I thought they looked better with a cuff at the hems. It adds that extra bit of ease to the look as well I find. Since I wanted to be comfortable, I threw on my oversized cream Zara knitted jumper and pushed the sleeves up. This trusty jumper has been so useful! I’ve worn it numerous times and absolutely adore it! I don’t think it was originally designed to be oversized, but I took a size large in it so that it was.
I didn’t want my entire outfit to be completely casual, so I wore my Topshop mint metallic toe cap heels, just to smarten it up a little bit. I love these shoes! I did recently share them with you in one of my new purchases posts and I honestly can’t believe I won them for about £7 on eBay! You can always get some amazing deals there! As the outfit colour scheme was quite muted with grey and cream, I wanted to add a little pop of colour, so I took my Marc by Marc Jacobs neon yellow neoprene iPhone case with me and also wore my Katula Kiss neon yellow and green bracelets to go with my Michael Kors Slim Runway watch in silver. I think adding the neon really helps liven the look up a bit.
Going back to J Brand, they have really upped their game lately in terms of the new styles. I was looking around and saw some new J Brand Jeans from Trilogy, especially the new photo ready denim. I actually wrote a post on them a couple of days ago on DenimBlog and think they are really cool. Have any of you tried them yet? I was really into bold and bright denim for ages, but have now been mostly interested in the more classic jeans at the moment, which is why I’m excited to see what they are coming out with. I will be seeing the new J Brand collection in November actually and can’t wait. Anyway, what do you think of the outfit? Comment and let me know!
A very long time ago, maybe 9-10 years ago, I saw an ad in Vogue magazine for an Omega watch that Cindy Crawford was wearing. It was called the Quadrella Quartz and was silver/platinum with ruby, emerald, sapphire and canary yellow stones for the numbers. It also featured diamonds on the casing and was absolutely stunning! That was the very first time I found a love for Omega watches. The style also came in the round Constellation shape, which is the one Cindy is wearing below, but the rectangular Quadrella was the one I have always loved. Obviously back then, I was about 16 years old, so purchasing a watch like that wasn’t an option, neither is it today unfortunately as they are very expensive, but it still remains as my dream watch.
For now, I’m sure you have already noticed, I really like rose gold watches. I have a Marc by Marc Jacobs rose gold watch, which I wear all the time, and I also have a Daniel Wellington one with a gold face. One of the other Omega watches that I love (which is newer and available) is a rose gold Aqua Terra with a black face and diamond bezel. I saw this online a few weeks ago and my jaw almost dropped at how pretty it was. Clearly I can’t afford to purchase an Omega watch like this, so I found a very similar Marc by Marc Jacobs one, without a black face, and I like it almost as much! I guess this post is more like a save or crave type of post, where there’s an amazing designer piece and then a much less expensive item which almost looks the same. Which would you pick if you had the choice? The Omega Aqua Terra in Rose Gold or the Marc by Marc Jacobs Henry Glitz in Rose Gold?
I got given these shorts a couple of months ago by Dittos and I absolutely love them! They have love birds printed on them and they look adorable! I love the bright colours and how unique they are, I don’t often see denim shorts with birds printed on them. I often find that prints like this look best with neutrals, however I think pairing these bird shorts with neon clothes worked just as well!
I’m wearing Dittos Love Bird Shorts, a River Island Neon Pink Top, my Topshop Wedges, my Rebecca Minkoff Mini 5 Zip in Mint, my Marc by Marc Jacobs Neon Pink Watch and various jewellery from ASOS, Topshop and Forever 21.
What have you been up to? I had a really quiet weekend, I didn’t do anything at all, which I needed as I definitely need a break sometimes. Did any of you plan anything fun to do? I did do a lot of browsing online at stuff to buy though! I saw a really gorgeous fuchsia shirt from Ralph Lauren recently which I fell in love with. It’s a little darker in shade than my Equipment one that I have, with shorter sleeves, but I think it would look gorgeous with dark blue skinny jeans! I love the combination of dark blue jeans and pink shirts so much! I’ve never really tried Ralph Lauren before though, have any of you? I also found some other great items which I will share with you soon! So, what do you think of my outfit?
