Double Denim With Nude & Beige

I really hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and Boxing Day! It’s been really nice to have so much free time to be able to do things I don’t usually have the time for. Plus, I’ve definitely been taking advantage of the amazing sales going on right now! I’ve managed to scoop up the glitter flats I wanted on Jimmy Choo for 40% off and I managed to get some blazers, sweaters and things on Zara in the sale! I love this time of year for shopping! There’s always so many amazing Winter pieces you can get!

Speaking of winter outfits, I’ve been thinking a lot lately that I should try out a roll neck sweater. I’ve never really liked them in the past as I feel like you have to be slimmer up the top to wear them, but I’ve been looking around and have seen some really nice slouchy ones, especially the ones made of cashmere on Peter Hahn, they look slouchy and comfortable. What’s your thoughts on a roll neck sweater? I’m pretty sure you will be seeing me in one very soon, if I decide I like how they look on me that is!

Anyway, getting to this outfit, we shot these photos back at the end of October, early November actually, as I’m sure you can tell by the Autumn leaves in the photos. I never got around to posting the look until now, but it’s definitely a little more preppy than I usually go for. I paired my gorgeous Diesel Grupee Jogg Jeans with a Topshop sleeveless denim shirt to go for a double denim look. As I wanted it to look a little more chic and smart though, I layered on a Zara cream sweater over the top to break up the denim and then threw on my Zara beige coat, to add some more structure. I finally finished it off with my Kelya nude heels, just to tie the colour scheme together.

This is definitely an outfit that I ended up really loving the look of. I don’t usually wear sweaters over shirts, but I think it turned out nicely. Plus, these jeans are absolutely amazing! The Jogg Jean from Diesel is super stretchy and comfortable and these are the ones I had wanted since I saw them in Italy back in June 2013. Luckily, I had a Diesel code and was able to buy the last pair with a huge discount! The fit of them is perfect and it’s so nice to be able to wear Diesel back pockets again, I have always found them to be really flattering on the butt. What do you think of them? And of course, I would love to know what you other fashion bloggers and readers think of my outfit too!

It’s A Woodland Creature Thing

(Jacket – Similar, Jeans – Similar, Top – Exact, Shoes – Similar, Necklace – Similar, Watch – Exact)

We took these photos a few weeks ago as I was reviewing these Diesel Grupee Jogg Jeans, but I didn’t get around to posting them yet. I decided to pair the jeans with my Woodland Blazer that I got from Choies last year as I still love the print on it so much. It’s adorable! I kept things fairly simple with my shoes, opting for my Topshop Gabbi Nude Heels and then went with my Olivia Burton Humming Bird Watch, some various bracelets and my brand new Marc by Marc Jacobs Flap Percy in Coral.

I have been trying to be good lately and not buy many clothes as I still have so many pieces from last Summer that I didn’t really wear that much. I have bought a couple of tops on eBay, but I sort of allow that since they were super cheap! I’m always looking around for vouchers and discount codes too to get the most out of my orders and try and save money. VoucherBin is a pretty good site for that as they often share really great discounts that you can get online. Who doesn’t like savings? I sure do!

In other news, thank you so much for all of the support towards The Jeans Blog. It’s been absolutely incredibly and in the little amount of time that it’s been live (10 days) it’s had over 1000 views already. I’m over the moon! I also wanted to say that I really appreciate all of the votes you gave me for the Company Blogger Awards 2014, I didn’t win my category unfortunately, but knowing you love my blog means everything to me, so thank you! Anyway, what do you think of the outfit? Do you like it?

Braving The Rain In Navy

(Jeans – Exact, Blazer – Exact, Wellies – Exact, Scarf – Exact)

Firstly I’m going to start this post by saying please do excuse my hair here! As you know from me saying time and time again, it’s just so windy and rainy here all the time now, it’s sort of become difficult to take my photos not in the rain. So yeah, my hair is damp and frizzy from the wet and the wind, which is why it looks a complete state, ha ha. I did have my big parka coat on as well with the hood up and buttoned up to the top, to keep me warm and dry, but it didn’t look so good for the photos, which is why I took it off.

I’m wearing my new Zara Navy Blue Blazer which I got in the sale a couple of weeks ago. It has the most amazing burgundy elbow patches which I think really make the jacket! It’s really traditional since it’s a wool blazer, but I feel like the colour combination of it just makes it current and modern. I paired the blazer with my Diesel Skinzee Skinny Jeans as I love pairing dark navy blue with lighter blue, to keep the colour theme, but give it a contrast. Of course I had to wear my trusty Hunter Original Tall Navy Gloss Wellies again as I pretty much can’t leave the house without them at the moment and then I threw on my new Zara Burgundy and Navy Scarf for warmth. I also picked this up in the sale for a great price and it’s so soft and warm, I’m glad I did! I had had my eye on it for a while, so I’m glad it stayed in stock during the sale! Speaking of wellies though, I’ve been thinking of getting a new pair and I have seen some really cool printed pairs on Jones Bootmaker from Joules. You may remember I own some Joules black gloss wellies with pink ribbons at the back, so I was thinking I need a new pair! I’m not sure if I want to get a printed fun pair like in the link, or a pair of classic black wellies which I can wear with everything!

You may notice a couple of these photos are in a different location as I wasn’t able to shoot the close up photos in the rain, it had started to down pour and they were coming out blurry, so I took the close up details the next day when surprisingly the rain had stopped for a little while and the sun had come out! I definitely don’t recommend taking outfit photos in these conditions as they aren’t the best, but unfortunately I didn’t have a choice as I wasn’t seeing my boyfriend for two weeks and wouldn’t have any. Anyway, what do you think of the outfit? Do you like it? I thought I would wear something a little more traditional and country, since I live in Bath!

It’s A Boyfriend Jean Kind Of Lazy Day

(Jeans – Similar, Top – Similar, Belt – Exact, Shoes – Exact, Watch – Exact, Bracelets – Similar)

Those of you who know me will know that comfort plays a huge role in my outfits. I don’t have a high tolerance level and if something is irritating me or being painful, I tend to get grouchy and annoyed and don’t want to wear it. This is the reason that I don’t often wear my Christian Louboutin shoes anymore and I opt for more comfortable boots and heels. This outfit here, which I shot last weekend, really is as comfortable as it gets for me. Boyfriend jeans, a simple t-shirt and flat shoes. Sometimes this kind of outfit can look incredibly sloppy though, so the key is finding the right fits and styles for your shape.

I recently fell in love with Diesel Fayza boyfriend jeans and bought a pair from the Diesel outlet a few weeks ago, but I walked into TK Maxx about two weeks ago and saw they had these Diesel Fayza jeans on the rack, in my size, for only £24.99! I didn’t even try them on, I just took them straight to the till to purchase them and I am so happy that I found them! They are incredibly comfortable and the one thing I love about the Fayza fit is the dropped crotch. Sometimes it can make your legs look short, but somehow on the Fayza cut it doesn’t do that at all. These are just pure comfort and I can’t wait to wear them more for press days and travelling! I wanted to go really casual, but add some life to the look, this is why I chose my old Mango Waistcoat printed t-shirt. I have loved this since I purchased it about 6 and a half years ago in the House of Fraser Mango section in Bristol! It may be really old, but I think it’s a classic and I never get tired of it!

As the Fayza jeans have a really gorgeous and intense darker blue wash, I wanted to pair burgundy with them which is why I chose my Topshop Western style belt in burgundy. I purchased this a few months ago and I wanted it to be a belt I would wear at the hips and around the waist, which is why I purchased the size medium and then made extra holes in it myself to wear it around my waist as it would have been too big. It’s a great belt that looks amazing when worn with jeans or around a black dress! To add more burgundy, I wore my new Converse All Star trainers in Ox Suede which I got to choose from I’ve always been a fan of Converse, I have been wearing them since I was about 13 or 14. I remember my first pair was a pair of their black high tops with flames on the sides, I wore those everyday until they broke! It’s different for me trying these ones in a suede instead of a canvas though, but I think they are amazing. The colour of them is gorgeous in person, it’s really deep and intense. I just think I would prefer them in the slim version so the white wasn’t as chunky, but they are gorgeous!

Finally, for my accessories, I opted for my Michael Kors Slim Runway watch in silver and a few various bracelets from ASOS to keep with the colour theme! When I just need to go out to run errands or do something simple, this is the kind of look that I favour, however now it’s getting a bit cooler, I’m sure I will be switching the t-shirt out for a quirky jumper/sweater or a cardigan. I do love the location in which we took these photos though, it’s really peaceful and quiet on the country road and the leaves had been falling so it was the perfect setting for the colours in my outfit. I just love how the orange plays off against the blue and burgundy. What do you think of my outfit? Comment and let me know! I always love reading what you have to say!
