Roman Originals Red Short Sleeve Luxe Lace Dress
As you know I was on holiday in St. Ives a couple of weeks ago and since the weather was so warm, we got to shoot some great photos on the beach in the evenings. I was really excited to be collaborating with Roman Originals (you may remember them from ‘The Dress‘ phenomenon that went viral), so I’m going to be sharing with you 4 different looks using their pieces, and this Red Short Sleeve Luxe Lace Dress is the first for this week, and a new one will follow each week after. Plus, very soon I will be taking over one of their newsletters with a small interview with me and a preview of all the looks, so make sure you signup to receive their newsletter so that you get the exclusive content! It wont be shared on my blog, so if you head to their home page (click here) and scroll right to the bottom, you can enter your email address and that’s done! I’m excited for you all to get the email and let me know what you think of it as well.
Getting to this red lace dress though, isn’t it stunning? When I first saw it, I was instantly drawn to the primary red colour and the shape with the lace, which makes it look really elegant and classy. I knew I wanted to keep the dress as the main focal point of the outfit though, so layering it up with accessories wasn’t what I had in mind. I just chose a simple basket bag with yellow, blue, and green pom poms, so that I would have all four colours in one look. I then opted for a red lip and red toes, to finish it off. I didn’t choose any shoes since I was on the beach at the time, but if I was going to style this outside of the sand, I think a pair of heeled sandals or pumps would look absolutely perfect! I took this dress in a size UK 10 as that’s the smallest size that Roman Originals goes down to, so it’s a little looser in my waist, but it fits perfectly around my chest and hips, since it’s made of a non stretch lace, which zips at the back.
I’ve always loved red dresses as I think they can be really flattering, and bold at the same time. They do make a statement, but in a very good way and I hope people will see that tighter fitting red dresses don’t always come with a stigma. They really can look chic and smart, it’s just all about how you carry it off and style it. I’m pretty certain I will probably be wearing this dress again soon too, especially since Adam said it’s really nice and he doesn’t often like me in dresses. I would love to hear your opinions on it and for you to tell me if you like how I styled it, whether you’re a fellow fashion blogger or not. Don’t forget to signup to the newsletter too and keep an eye out for next weeks look!
