A Special Valentine’s Day With Henry London Watches
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are about to enjoy tomorrow! With tomorrow in mind, Adam and I collaborated with Henry London watches to bring you this really romantic Valentine’s Day blog post today. I usually always do a Valentine’s Day outfit, but this time (on a last minute whim), I decided to do something different and make it about Adam and myself since we got engaged in May.
For this blog post, we got to choose matching Henry London watches to go with our complementing outfits, making it very Valentine’s appropriate. I went for the women’s Hampstead Watch in Rose Gold and Purple Opaline while Adam chose the Hampstead Chronograph Watch in Rose Gold and Purple Opaline. Funnily enough, this wasn’t even planned and I never expected us to choose the same colour combination, but as we’re often in sync with each other, it worked out perfectly that way and made the photo shoot more fun.
In tribute to Henry’s original watch from 1965 and with an approach that emphasizes watchmaking heritage, the 39mm ‘Hampstead’ has been reinvented for today. The classic proportions of the case flow seamlessly into a high double domed lens accentuating the subtle curves of the rich purple opaline domed dial. The arched tip of the elongated seconds hand moves precisely, like a heartbeat, over the curved, raised hour markers with a timeless precision capturing the present as if nothing else were of importance. A self adjustable, Milanese mesh bracelet complements this timepiece, ensuring a perfect fit to the contours of your wrist. – Henry London.
We did have plans to go somewhere as a surprise yesterday to celebrate Valentine’s Day early, but given that the temperature was around zero degrees, we decided to stay in and watch romantic movies instead. We braved the cold for the photo shoot in the afternoon (let me tell you, it was freezing!) and then had a lovely evening ahead of us. Adam and I both had similar ideas for what we wanted the photos to turn out like, to showcase the mesh rose gold straps and the contrasting dials nicely, and thankfully, after about an hour, we got it right, and I really like the finished result. I think these photos show off the Henry London watches and our similarities really well.
It may sound mushy, but I couldn’t love another person more than I love Adam, and after 10 years of knowing each other, the love grows more each day. We have so much in common and we even have the same tastes in fashion and clothes (we often wear the same jeans), he’s recently started blogging too on his blog Your Average Guy, we encourage and support each other in every way possible, and we make each other laugh all the time. And since this is a celebration of love, I wanted to say I love all of you as well for supporting me with my health and loving my fashion blog. Thank you so much! Happy Valentine’s Day! Let me know what you think of this post. Love Lorna xx.
