LNA Esperenza Lace Up Top With Black Skinny Jeans

Remember my lace up shirt blouse that I wore with my leather pants a little while ago? Well my love for lace up tops has grown even stronger and I’m becoming obsessed – as I do. I was looking for a lace up top that was a little more casual though and in a neutral colour, so this LnA Esperenza Lace Up Top in Scour (buy here on sale) ended up being ideal. It’s a linen made, long sleeve top, so it’s very easy breezy for the warmer weather, but super cute at the same time.

For this outfit, I wanted to keep everything neutral and warm, so I went with a black base for the denim, wearing my Paige Transcend Verudgo Cropped Skinny Jeans in Jett Black Destructed (buy here). These jeans are so comfortable and have one of the most perfect fits, so I definitely recommend them to you! Since these jeans are cropped, they pair nicely with my Celtic & Co. Chelsea Boots (similar here on sale) that I live in currently. If you haven’t yet tried them, you should! The direct buying link is below.

For the accessories, again, I wanted to keep things minimal and toned down so it was an easy ensemble, but one that still showed it was warm outside. I chose my beautiful TRIWA Turtle Bonnie Sunglasses (similar here) which I still absolutely adore, my Chloe Nano Drew Bag in Off White (buy here) and my Our Theory Of Brushed Rose Gold Watch again – it goes with everything. Plus, since my lipstick here is quite bold and bright, it’s called the PIXI Shea Lip Balm in Ripe Raspberry, which is a lip balm stain. It treats your lips with shea butter and also stains them a colour. I have so many of these in numerous different shades. For their price, they are amazing! I hardly ever wear anything else on my lips.

So, that’s everything I’m wearing, plus a slim brown belt to add a little pop of colour. It’s incredibly comfortable and an outfit that I love so much, I have worn it quite a few times already for running errands and things, but it looks styled and put together, so it’s great for comfy days! And speaking about being comfy, a little update on my stomach as well. I’m on day 9 of the 2 week triple therapy antibiotics treatment, so I have 5 more days to go, which I’m counting down like nobody’s business! It’s really been one of the toughest regimes that I have been on because the side effects have been terrible, sometimes to the point where I can’t do anything at all because I’ve been that ill. But, and don’t quote me on this, I do think it is working. My stomach now seems to be less swollen and less painful, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Anyway, what do you think of my outfit?

You look lovely Lorna, and this outfit is ultra-chic and sophisticated. I especially like the lace-up blouse, it’s so pretty. The burgundy top which is similar to this also looked lovely in your previous blog post. The accessories for this outfit are very classic and timeless as well. Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling ill on some days. I’m glad to hear the antibiotics seem to be working, and your stomach is feeling more settled. I hope your stomach problems continue to improve, so you can stop taking the antibiotics and get back to your normal activities.

p.s- I can see Adam reflected in the lens of your sunglasses! (It’s in the 8th picture!)

    Have a fab weekend!

    Lots of love Saba xx

You can! I didn’t notice until you said, but I can see him right there, ha ha. I’m really glad you like the outfit, and yeah, it is very similar to the burgundy top, but that one is satin and this one is linen, so slight difference. Both are pretty though! I’m doing better today, but yesterday was really bad again and I was in a lot of pain. It’s all up and down, all over the place! xx.

Oh no, so sorry to hear you were in pain. It must be really tough on days like that. But it’s a relief to hear things have improved since then. Did you update your doctor about everything? I wonder if there are any alternative remedies for this type of stomach complaint which may prove effective. Is it ok for you to drink herbal tea, like peppermint?

I just wish and hope that you feel better very soon.

I adore your outfit in this post. I think it’s justifiable to have two similar lace-up tops, as the material is different and the colours are totally different as well!

        ((Hugs)) Saba xx

The only tea I can have are cooling teas like Chrysanthemum and Chamomile, any tees that are warming like green tea or teas that are too strong, I can’t have. But luckily I don’t even like tea much anyway, never really been a big drinker of it. I have a call scheduled with my doctor on Thursday to see where we go from there, she said all the symptoms I was feeling are normal side effects from the regime as it’s a strong one. And thank you for the well wishes, I hope I do feel a lot better too after this! xx.

That’s great that you’ve arranged to talk to your doctor soon. The side effects of these medicines can be pretty scary, so it’s always good to ask for clarification if there’s any doubt. Hopefully you’ll be nearing the end of the course now. I don’t drink conventional tea either, but I do quite like herbal mint teas.

I hope you have a lovely day Lorna, and I’ll visit your blog again soon!

            xx

Thank you, Saba! Yeah, I have 2 more doses and finish tomorrow morning, thankfully. So just tonight and tomorrow to go now. Really can’t wait lol.

Is Scour the name of the colour? If so, then who on earth thought that one up? LOL

Anyway, the top is very pretty indeed and it looks especially ideal for these days of strange mixed weather that we’re going through. I love those boots, by the way. 🙂

I’m really pleased to read that your treatment seems to be yielding positive results for you. 🙂

    • June 12, 2016 / 10:51 pm

It is indeed the colour! I have no idea how it’s relevant, but it’s funny lol. It definitely is ideal for the weather lately as it’s both warm and cool at the same time. And thank you, I hope it does work. It’s just up and down like crazy with how I’m feeling. One minute I think I’m better, the next I’m really ill again. Rubbish!

    Looking good, Lorna…
Great to see you in better shape/mood, albeit in the same fabulous outfits!
Shame about the lack of contrast in that rear shot… 🙁 Those pants look amazing, especially in the close-up with the bone coloured handbag.
The top and watch look great, but only because you’re wearing them…

Lovely to see your smirk in the third shot.

    • June 12, 2016 / 10:52 pm

Ha ha, thanks Michael! Glad you like the whole look, even down to the accessories 🙂 That is the trouble with black jeans though, they are very dark so you don’t see any of the details.

That is a lovely casual outfit! I really like the gold and tan accessories with it too – you have accessorised brilliantly as always! 🙂

The jeans and boots are the perfect pairing as well, the length and height look like they were made to be worn together!

They do, don’t they? They are cropped to the perfect length for these boots, which amazes me because I always have an issue somewhere along the line with inseam length, ha ha! So glad you love the outfit, Mica 🙂

Lorna, your outfit is really sweet, it looks lovely on you… I’m glad you are getting some nicer weather to enjoy xox

I hope this new medication works, especially after having to deal with those nasty side effects… I have issues with medication myself… I usually have to go without it… I hope you can keep with it and have very good results xox

    • June 12, 2016 / 10:53 pm

Thank you, Launna! So happy you like it! And I know, medications can be awful can’t they? I’m not a huge fan of them at all. I’ve got 3 days left now of the treatment, battling through it, so I hope it does work.

  9. June 12, 2016 / 11:51 pm

It’s a great outfit for sure! I think it is a very versatile look in that it can be used for a casual setting or something a bit more formal. The jeans are awesome of course haha! One never can go wrong with a good pair of black jeans.

So glad you like it, Tommy!

That top sounds and looks so comfy, I love the lace up neckline! It also looks great paired with those Paige skinnies, which I’ve heard are great quality jeans, I’ll have to look into them! I love the way that nude/beige looks paired with black, I feel it creates a very chic and classy combo, instantly adding a dressed up feel, even when working with the most basic pieces! Thank so much for sharing and I look forward to reading about how everything goes after you’ve finished the treatment (I hope it goes fast for you 😉 Have a wonderful start to your week, girlie!

Thank you so much, Jalisa! Paige denim are definitely very good quality, she makes amazing jeans and is a lovely person too, so definitely worth the investment, that’s for sure. I love nudes and black too, it really is so classic. And thank you, I am starting to feel a bit better, so fingers crossed 🙂

I don’t normally think of the possibility of lace-ups with skinny jeans, but I have to admit, you made it work. 🙂
