A Pop Of Orange

A Checked Orange Men’s Shirt With Black Skinny Jeans

Happy Saturday everyone! So glad it’s the weekend again as I’ve had a busy, stressful two weeks. I’m spending it with Adam as I haven’t seen him for a couple of weeks and I can’t wait to relax and enjoy a few days off! I’ve already got mostly everything scheduled so I’m hoping to shut off a bit and enjoy the now. Hopefully it doesn’t rain too much though like it has been doing constantly, but then again, this month is April Showers isn’t it?

Getting to these photos, I was actually wearing this outfit (minus the heels) for a trip we had planned a couple of weeks ago to the beach, however 10 minutes into the journey, the car broke down unfortunately and it meant we couldn’t go. Adam and I decided it wouldn’t be good to ruin the rest of the day since it was so sunny so we took a walk through areas of the countryside and found this quaint little bridge to take our photos on. It’s really beautiful here as the stream and forest areas run right underneath and around it, so it’s like being in the middle of woodland area, which is so tranquil.

I was wearing a WeSC Orange Checked Shirt which I got from the men’s department of TKMaxx a few months back. I fell in love with the colour of it and thought it would be perfect to wear around casually with leggings and black jeans. I paired it with my new Paige Denim Verdugo Crop Jeans in Jett Black Destructed which I couldn’t wait to wear. I got these in a size 27 and they are made with the Transcend fabric so they are extremely stretchy and comfortable, I’m completely in love with them! Not only do they have a raw and frayed hem, but the split at the knee is perfect too! I definitely recommend these if you are looking for a distressed black pair of jeans, they have quickly become my favourite, not just for style, but comfort too!

Now for the rest of my outfit, I chose my Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 in Black to give the look some femininity and elegance, plus it gives me some height, and then I added more black with my Balenciaga Mini City Bag in Black Suede, some various bracelets and my RADLEY Rose Gold Watch. Speaking of Balenciaga though, have you seen how gorgeous this one is from their new collection? The rainbow metallic hardware is incredible! This is definitely on my wish list now! But please do let me know what you think of this outfit/location, I love reading your comments!

Hi, dear Lorna! I hope you really enjoy the weekend, with maybe, let’s be positive, good weather 🙂 I know what you mean, I reached Saturday with a happy heart, cause I also had a very busy week – I don;t even know how I was able to do all I had to. So when you mentioned 2 busy weeks, oh, yes please relax! So bad about the car, but good that you decided to enjoy the day, nevertheless. I loooved your checked shirt, so beautiful in orange, from the men’s department, well done! Your jeans and shoes look amazing and your hair is fantastic! You are always so gorgeous!

That bridge looks like exactly the kind of place where a troll might be lurking beneath awaiting the arrival of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. 😉 It’s a beautiful setting anyhow. It’s a pity that you didn’t make it to the beach but nice that you made the most of the circumstances.

That shirt is fabulous. I love those fiery oranges. I might’ve forgotten something (as I can do!) but I don’t really remember seeing you do much with the colour orange before. It’s certainly a colour which suits you exceptionally well anyway. 🙂

Ha ha, well he didn’t come out when I was there, thankfully 😀 Yeah, orange isn’t a colour I have worn lot in recent years. I used to be obsessed with coral years ago though and wore it all the time. If you type coral in my search bar I’m sure you will see lots of outfits with that orangey colour 🙂

        Well they only eat goats… I think… so you’d be safe. 😉

OK, I might very well do a bit of time travel through your blog later and see what “coral” produces. Or even “orange” maybe. I didn’t even know that there was a shade of orange called coral, to be honest. 🙂

        • April 18, 2016 / 5:38 pm

Orange might not return much as I always used to call it coral 🙂 Coral was the colour of the year a few years back and everything was out in it lol! You might like it 😀 It’s a pinky orange!

That makes sense. The word coral conjures up pink shades (creamy pinks, really) in my mind rather than oranges. 🙂
