Maroon L’Academie Safari Blouse With Black Leather Pants
First of all I wanted to say thank you to all of you for the really kind responses about my new blog layout. It seems like you all really like it and had very positive things to say about the new design, which makes me happy. I’m also really glad you love my new hairstyle as well, it’s such a change so it’s been quite hard getting used to it. I know a few of you said you preferred it long, which is fine, but I’m really happy that it’s short now as it’s so much easier for me. All in all though the majority of you love it, so that’s great!
Now this post is the first outfit post I’m sharing with you on the new blog layout and I wanted to make it a special one. I’m finally debuting my new leather pants! Many of you have seen these on my Snapchat and Instagram already when I first got them and have been questioning me about a blog post on them, so here it finally is! These are my Rag & Bone The Leather Skinny Pant in Washed Black (which I did a review on recently on DenimBlog) and this is the first outfit I have worn them with. I’ve got numerous ideas about how I want to style these leather pants, but for this look, I have collaborated with Revolve Clothing and have decided to style them in a feminine and bold way.
I went with the Safari Blouse in Maroon from L’Academie which is absolutely gorgeous isn’t it? I’ve slowly developed a crush on lace up shirts and this one is just everything I had envisioned in one. You can make the laces tighter or looser and it’s made of a satin/poly material so it feels really silky, not to mention the colour of it is like a deep merlot. It’s truly stunning! I took it in a size XS which is their smallest size and as it’s designed to be a bit floaty and loose, I think it looks great. I’ve also seen a similar colour of this shirt on other fashion bloggers too, so I can tell it’s going to be quite popular.
Now for the shoes, I chose the Carrie Pump in Merlot from RAYE and they are fierce aren’t they? When I first saw them online I thought they were perfect for the look I was going for and many looks in the future since they will go with so many pieces that I already own, not just the leather pants. I’ve tried them with my skinny jeans and can’t wait to try them out with some dresses and skirts once it gets a bit warmer. They feature three straps, one of which is an ankle strap, and I took them in size 39.5 which is right in between my usual shoe sizes. I finally then finished it off with some various bracelets I’ve had for a while. So, what are your thoughts on this outfit? Do you really like it? Please comment and tell me!
