New MCM Rabbit Cross Body Bag & Card Case Review
I know quite a few of you have seen my MCM Rabbit Bag before in a couple of outfit posts (here and here) but I hadn’t yet reviewed it. I also ended up buying a coin/card purse to use everyday as I hadn’t yet got one. Considering I have so many pretty bags, I was still using an old Topshop coin purse that I got back in 2010 and hadn’t upgraded since. I’ve often seen the MCM backpacks out and about and thought they were quite cool, but they were a little too bold for me and since I don’t often wear backpacks (except for travel) I didn’t think one of those would be a suitable choice. Then when I happened to come across the little rabbit logo on the cross body bag, I completely fell in love with it. The brand release a new style of rabbit each season and this coin/card purse is from the MCM Spring 2016 Rabbit collection while the cross body bag is from AW15. So, if you want to read my reviews on each of the bag and purse, carry on reading below and check out my photos too! Shop the entire MCM Rabbit collection online at Shopbop.com.
MCM Rabbit Canvas Monogram Zip Around Card Case in Cognac
Like I mentioned above, I was in dire need of a new coin purse and I couldn’t find one small enough or suitable for me for such a long time. Every purse I looked at was always too long or big, too wide and wouldn’t fit inside my smaller bags or just not good enough. I saw that MCM did a little zip around card case like this one last year, however it was sold out everywhere with the blue classic rabbit on it and no matter how much I looked, I couldn’t find it. Then a couple of months ago, the new SS16 Rabbit came out and I was so excited, I just hoped it would come in the little card purse. A few weeks later, it did and I bought it instantly without thinking!
It features a leather lined interior with 5 small compartments as you can see, so I keep my money in the middle and my cards at the ends. It fits everything I use perfectly and is just the right size. It’s 3.25 inches in height and 4.75 inches in length, which is ideal for me. I don’t ever carry a huge amount around with me and never have much money on me, so it’s great for my cards and the zip around is extremely secure. I also really adore how the bright orange on the canvas zipper blends in perfectly with the brown Cognac coated canvas on the outside. It features the MCM logo monogrammed over it and the new rabbit is almost carnival or Brazilian inspired with a big fluffy tail on the back and a cute dress on the front. That’s what made me fall in love with this purse even more is the fact that it has a front and a back! I can’t get enough of it and if you are looking for a little coin or card purse, I recommend this one to you 100%!
MCM Rabbit Canvas Monogram Cross Body Bag in Cognac
And here is my MCM Rabbit Cross Body Bag that I’ve worn before on the blog. It’s very similar to the purse in the way it’s designed with the monogram MCM logo on the coated canvas and the rabbit printed on the back and front, except the rabbit is blue and their classic style. I loved how the blue, pink and yellow of this rabbit stood out nicely against the orange/brown of the bag, it’s so cute!
It features a magnetic top flap which folds over and is secure when it’s closed, it also has a suede lined interior and 2 compartments inside which are big enough to fit a few things in. I can fit my iPhone 6, lipstick, a compact mirror and a few cards etc. It’s not big enough for a purse as it’s quite slim in depth, but it acts as a clutch too since you can un-clip the strap, so it’s a two in one bag. It’s 4 inches in height, 6 inches in length and 2.25 inches in depth, with a strap drop of 23.5 inches, so it’s quite lengthy. One other really cool thing about this bag though that not many people know is that on the back it has 2 thick strips which I originally thought were the design, but when I looked closely, it appears you can thread a belt through these and use it as a belt bag or fanny pack, whatever you want to call it! So not only is it a clutch and cross body bag, it’s a belt bag too! It makes me love it even more!
– So overall, the coin purse is cute, adorable and pretty all in one and the perfect size for everything I need while the bag is amazing as a 3 in 1 option and it’s beautiful too. I can’t get enough of these and they both come with dust bags, so I’m really excited about using this purse every time I go out. Have any of you got the MCM Rabbit bags or an MCM backpack at all? I’d love to know what you think![showads728x90]
