Festival inspired denim shorts with a flower crown and wellies
I’ve never been to Coachella before, neither have I been to Glastonbury, but I used to go to my local music festivals when I was younger and really liked them. It’s probably a little too crowded for my liking these days and too many people all in one place for me, but I absolutely adore music. The whole wave of emotions it can give you, the way your body responds to it (like I can’t stop bopping about anytime I hear Shake It Off, ha ha), so, in light of it being Coachella right now, I thought I would do a music festival inspired outfit! The weathers been warming up nicely and it seemed really fitting!
I started out with my Topshop Crochet Denim Shorts which I paired with their white cropped top, then layered on my River Island Waterfall Cardigan as the shorts are too short to not have anything covering behind. This made the base of the look, but seeing as I live in the UK, I thought it was more suitable to add my Hunter Original Tall Gloss Wellies to the look like they do at Glastonbury, since it’s usually wet and muddy here. I’ve actually never worn shorts with my wellies before, but I think it’s something I will have to do more of!
To really accessorize it, I went with lots of jewellery from various shops like ASOS and Topshop, then chose my purple Ray-Ban Erika Velvet Sunglasses and then finally a DIY Flower Crown. I made this by attaching lots of flower clips to a hairband, so it was super easy to make! All you need are various size flower brooches or hair clips, and then just clip them to a simple head band and you have a DIY flower crown! This is pretty different to something I would usually wear, but I really love accessorizing during the warmer months and I really like how this one turned out. I haven’t been to Coachella but I really want to! I’ve been told that you don’t need to wear wellies there because the weather’s so nice but I think some people do anyway. And even if not then who cares! I think this a look that might as well have been made just for Britain in the spring. Sunny enough for shorts but still a chance of getting soaked every few hours! XD

Thank you, they are Cocoa Gloss, which is a brown shade, sometimes olive in different lights. Very similar to a cocoa bean I guess!

How did you guess i would like this post? Maybe those welly boots with the Hunter logo on them? Yeah good call, you look so damn good in your brown ones. That top makes you look really busty too! And to answer your question earlier yes i got the flat riding boots that are black with the brown tops and the MK logo on the side. Fabulous boots.

I’m glad you like the look! I’m a fan of these brown ones too, they are actually really versatile. For me though wellies aren’t a fetish, they are a necessity and a fashionable boot of choice, so that’s why I have so many. They are fantastic for the UK weather!
I like your combination of denim shorts and hunter wellies! You say that you never wore shorts with wellies before. How do you feel about wearing shorts and wellies? Would it be more comfortable than wearing jeans and wellies? 🙂

It’s not necessarily more comfortable, it’s about the same in comfort reasons, but I think I do prefer wearing them with jeans 🙂

Brown boots are usually very versatile, im glad you like these ones. I think they look amazing on you. I know they arent a fetish for you but for me it gets me going anytime i see you post in those sexy wellies.

Lol, it was a warm day, but as these were taken in the evening when the sunset, it was getting pretty chilly by then! Ha ha!
