I just shared my Valentine’s Day gift guide with you, and in light of the romantic holiday, I’m really happy to be partnering with La Redoute for this post! The idea is to share a romantic story or moment that’s happened to you while posting a Valentine’s Day look. My outfit consists of my Zara pink coat layered over a white shirt and my Paige Jane white skinny jeans, finished off with some nude Kelya heels and my Mulberry Candy Pink Denim Lily, complete with a pink silk scarf from La Redoute, which I tied in a bow around my bag! I also had flowers since it is Valentine’s after all!
Now getting to my romantic story, there have been numerous little things that Adam has done for me over the 7 years we have been together, but one of the things that stands out to me most was a few years ago. He knew that I loved the green bears from the Haribo Starmix bags and you only ever get about 3-5 in a bag, so for Valentine’s Day one year, he gave me a black decorated box with red tissue paper inside. I wondered what was in it and as soon as I opened it, I knew! He had given me a box filled with green Haribo bears! In order to do this he had to buy a tonne of Starmix bags and bear bags just to take out the green ones so I would have a little box full. I know not many would consider this romantic as such as it’s not a holiday, flowers or something lavish, but to me it was one of the sweetest things! It’s something that I still remember to this day and I love how thoughtful he was with it.
There are of course other little things that I find romantic of him, or really sweet, like telling me I still look beautiful during a flu outbreak when in actual fact I look like a troll (truth), so that’s sweet. He will always check the menu at restaurants first to see if there’s something that I could eat there before him (due to my allergies), he goes out of his way to find me little meaningful presents that remind me of childhood memories or nice things and he just cares. I think that’s all anyone can ask for in a relationship and I am extremely lucky to be with someone as lovely as Adam. His support and love really helps my blog grow and for me to grow as a person! I know I don’t often share so much personal detail like this, but as it’s Valentine’s, I think Adam deserves it!
