This is a project that I have been working on with Sky Rainforest Rescue in order to raise awareness and help save the rainforest. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend the breakfast in London a few weeks ago with Lily Cole as I was too busy, but I’m really happy to say that being part of this amazing campaign with the gorgeous model, Lily Cole, and footballer, Gary Neville, means a lot to me. Being a country girl, you already know that wildlife and animals are incredibly important to me, so anything I can do in order to help preserve the trees and save the animals homes is definitely close to my heart.

Lily Cole actually designed a collaboration with Veja, creating a few sneakers/trainers with wildlife print in a nature friendly way. The shoes are made from rubber that was rubber tapped from trees, causing no harm to the enviroment or to the trees and they also feature organic cotton. I have a pair which I will be sharing with you soon actually, but you should definitely check out the collection online by clicking here. If you want to know more about the coat that I’m wearing too, it’s by Wondaland and I thought the lining inside with the tropical birds was perfect! Isn’t it beautiful? I love it!

Anyway, the idea behind this campaign was that Sky Rainforest Rescue created an Instagram profile and each tile was made up of all different parts of a tree, some of them being videos and others being photos. I have a part of the tree, with a butterfly on it, representing my love for the animals and endangered butterflies in the forest. I think the video they created is fantastic too! It’s a kaleidoscope with myself in it and you can view it online here or below in this post as I have uploaded it to YouTube. I would love to know what you think and please do take part in the campaign online by adding the hashtags #tapfortrainers and #skyrainforestrescue as it helps promote the cause! Let me know what you think of these photos and the video!

Loving the coat but really fascinated by the project, Lorna. The project sounds great and anything that supports the work to save the rainforest is so valuable will definitely follow this on social media.
