Pastel Blue & Pollen Buff

I wore this outfit over the weekend while I was out with my boyfriend. You may recognise this coat as it’s almost identical to my yellow Zara coat, just without the pocket! It fits the same and I love pastel blue at the moment as I’m sure you have already noticed! I decided that one thing I needed to stock up on was some pretty coats as being a UK fashion blogger often means they are what I have to wear on a daily basis!

I layered my new blue Zara zippered coat over my Topshop cream peplum top as I love how peplum fits! It’s so flattering to the figure in my opinion! For my jeans, I went with my new dream jeans which I am in love with! My Rag & Bone The Skinny in Sonoma! I got these a couple of weeks ago and have been living in them as they are so perfectly fitted! I originally fell for the wash when I saw it in Harvey Nichols 2 months or so ago. They really are incredible and I recommend them to anyone! They always have such great washes and fits.

I tucked them into my old River Island boots and then, for my bag, I wore something brand new that you haven’t yet seen! My 3.1 Phillip Lim Mini Pashli in Pollen Buff! Isn’t it beautiful? I got it on Shopbop when they had a discount code as I had always wanted a Mini Pashli. I wasn’t 100% sure on the colour at first though as it’s a yellow with brushed orange over the grain, so it’s fairly unique, but I really like it now and have grown to love the colour. It’s pretty heavy for me, but it’s such a great bag! What do you think of the bag, the jeans or the outfit in general?

it’s a beautiful outfilt, although I wouldn’t probably combine the yellow bag with the sand coloured shoes. just a matter of taste…
I have two questions as regards the jeans: are they the same as on your instagram of 19 april? they look much darker there. and second, is the size of these comparable to AG jeans? thank you regards, judy

    • April 24, 2014 / 7:02 pm

Thanks! They are the same pair from Instagram yeah, they probably look darker because I was inside and my iPhone camera isn’t as accurate. These were taken outside so they have a true representation of the wash. In terms of sizing, I’m a 26 in most AG jeans, like their Legging fit, but I’m a 27 in Rag & Bone. I’m a 27 in regular AG skinny jeans though, so I don’t know which jeans you have from AG. They run the same as Paige, J Brand, 7FAM etc and are super stretchy 🙂

That is such a gorgeous coat and bag! I can imagine that yellow bag with the yellow version of your coat!

Thanks for answering Lorna. From AG I have the stilt + the legging ankle (both in 24), but I’m a 25 in Nudie jeans (tight long john). I suppose that American jeans are generally larger than European ones. Rag & Bone are British design, aren’t they? So, would you recommend for me to size up? (I’m just 1,58m btw, so not super skinny for this height). kind regards, Judy

    • April 24, 2014 / 7:09 pm

Rag & Bone are from New York actually, so they don’t really have a British design to them. I’m a 27 in Nudie and a 27 in Rag & Bone, but a 26 in AG, so it might be easier for you to make the decision based on that! If you do buy them, could you buy them using a link on my blog? The store will know that I sent you there as like a referral! That would be great!

    Hi Lorna.
Love this coat, so pretty with your English rose complexion. I have the same one.
I was wondering if you ever use any protective spray on any of your coats or boots etc. to stop them getting marked?
    If so which one?
    Thanks
    Laura x

Hi Laura, no I don’t, I do have a waterproof leather spray for bags and shoes, however I have never used it. I’m generally really cautious and careful with all of my clothing so I never get them marked or stained or anything! I’m also sure not to wear them in the rain!

This is a gorgeous outfit combination. I absolutely love everything about it. The jeans are simply amazing, the coat is so pretty and the top is, as you say, very flattering. Then there’s the cute yellow bag.

This might sound strange (especially as you were wearing this in springtime) but the outfit is shouting out “summer sky” at me. The jeans, coat and top make up the colours of a lightly clouded summer sky and the bag is representing the sun. 🙂

    • January 22, 2016 / 11:58 am

No that makes sense, it does look very Summery with the blue and yellow. I guess that could act as the sky 🙂 Really glad you like it!

Thanks for your comments =) I read & reply every one =)
