Hi, I Love your Gloss Navy Hunters, they’re so cute! I had a pair of tall Gloss cornflower Hunters but they pinched the backs of my knees so I had to sell them 🙁

Oh that’s a shame 🙁 Have you tried the shorter version instead? My calves are unnaturally skinny so I mainly have gaps in my wellies all the time!

Yes, I’ve tried the short version in black gloss which were a lovely colour but these pinched my calves. I think it’s because my calves are quite skinny too and, like you, I have a slight gap in my wellies. I’m totally in love with Hunter wellies, especially the gloss ones as they’re so cool. I had a pair of size 9 gloss tall hunters that I wore without welly socks. People think that I’m strange wearing wellies as it’s usually a girl thing and isn’t something that guys do (apparently). Do your navy gloss wellies pinch at the back of your knees at all?

Admittedly, I do have a pair of original tall wellies in red in a size 10 which I wear with welly warmers and they don’t seem to pinch at all. I think the reason why they don’t pinch is because the welly socks take up the gaps inside my wellies and make a snug fit. Wish I had wider calves! 🙂

No mine don’t pink me at all, but then they sort of hit behind my knees, not on the calves for me. But I haven’t worn them without jeans, I only wear them with jeans so the wellies don’t touch my skin 🙂 I’ve seen loads of guys wear wellies, mainly farmers or when they are out on walks, but I have seen them worn in a fashionable way too, occasionally. I don’t think it matters on gender, I actually wear a lot of men’s clothes lol!

Yeah, I suppose that mine hit behind my knees to be honest, it wasn’t really a pinching sensation. My wellies hit behind my knees only if I lifted my leg to step over something i.e. when walking up steps but they didn’t hit the backs of my knees when walking normally.

I only wear wellies when I wear my jeans or jogging bottoms, I don’t wear them when I wear shorts as it doesn’t look right. Yeah, It’s mainly farmers that wear wellies as they need them for the work they do. When men wear wellies for fashion, they only wear boring colours such as green or black. I think it’d be nice to see men wearing brighter coloured wellies such as the gloss Hunters, for example. I think that men are too bothered by what other people think when it comes to men wearing wellies. I even saw on one website that men think that wearing wellies is a ‘gay’ thing, there’s nothing gay about men wearing wellies at all. Wellies are practical item of footwear and I wear mine when it rains, snows, washing the car and in the garden, to name but a few. I don’t think that gender matters either when it comes to welly wearing!

As for you wearing mens clothes, good for you and I see nothing wrong with that at all 🙂

I guess some guys just aren’t brave enough or they genuinely just prefer shoes lol 🙂
