The City And The Sea

paige verdugo moonlight The City And The Sea

(Jeans – Exact, Jacket – Similar, Scarf – Similar, Shoes – Similar)

I wanted to do this outfit a little bit differently as the moonlight jeans as a seascape pattern, so I wanted to pair them with the cityscape scarf to create a contrast. The outfit came out a little differently to what I had expected, but I think it’s ok.

I’m wearing Paige Verdugo Moonlight Jeans, a Zara Quilted Faux Leather Jacket, a River Island Cityscape Scarf and my Topshop Black Heels.

Did you do anything fun for the weekend? I’m spending a nice relaxing long weekend with my boyfriend as I need some quiet time lately to keep my brain calm! So, what do you think of the outfit? Do you like the contrast of the sea and city or not so much?

I like the concept of it and the way you explained why you paired this outfit…I just don’t really feel the jeans…I don’t know how to explain it…but they’re just too much, I prefer jeans to be simple and then add character with other pieces of clothing.. But I do love the scarf…it’s gorgeous =D

Please don’t take this the wrong way, I do think you styled them really great, I just don’t like the jeans…that’s all =)

Oh no I don’t take it the wrong way at all, I always appreciate everyone’s honesty and opinions, so thank you for being honest =) They do get mixed reactions, lots of people love the sea print and think it’s pretty, I do too, but the jeans can be quite strong =)

Wow I love your scarf! The coloring is great. I didn´t even see the cityscape until maybe four pictures down!

PS, thanks for the sweet comment!

I think this outfit came out quite well. I love, love, love these jeans, aside from the print at the bottom of the leg. When you originally posted the picture on Instagram, I was turned away from the zebra-esque design on the bottom of the leg. It looks much better when the jeans are on, but I feel can’t commit to them (though I love the rest of the pattern!).

Thanks Maranda! The stripes I think are supposed to be the waves of the ocean under the moonlight, but I can see what you are saying!
