J Brand Coated Red, Blue Satchel & Zebra Print

I wore this outfit on Saturday last week and I love how it turned out. I used to like pairing red, black and white with leopard, but this time I opted for something different and decided to pair it with zebra! You might remember these jeans from this post, thankfully they are a lot more comfortable to wear now that I’ve worn them quite a few times. I love them! I also decided the blue satchel would really pop against the colours.

I’m wearing my J Brand 901 Coated Red leggings, an ASOS cream top, blue Satchel and Mouse ring, a Topshop black Biker jacket, a Zara Zebra and Berry scarf and my River Island black wedge boots.

What do you think of my outfit? I would actually say that I still have an obsession with red jeans, especially coated ones. I think they are so chic and definitely one of my favourite trends since last year. Also, just to let you know a bit in advance, I am planning to switch over to self hosting soon so I can accept sponsors and things like that as I have been getting a few requests! I’m excited about it and can’t wait! I will let you know when that’s planned!

nice outfit lorna! i need to get some denim advice from you. how to repair the front pocket-bags of a pair of jeans without trimming them away? i have a pair of grey jeans made from thin denim, the outline of the pocket-bags becomes prominent when worn. hope you have some DIY suggestions.

Thanks kalpana! This is a problem that happens with thin jeans, it’s actually the worst in white jeans, I don’t have a pair of white jeans that doesn’t show the pocket bag ‘lumps’ when worn. So since grey is a lighter colour, it will have the same effect. It’s why most jeggings don’t actually have front pockets, they have false ones. There is actually nothing you can do about it without removing them completely. I’m guessing the pocket bags are made of a thicker cotton material? I’m not sure if you could replace them with some thinner material, but that’s a lot of trouble to go to. Have you tried turning the jeans inside out and ironing the pocket bags flat against the denim? It might help a bit if you iron them as flat as possible so they don’t have so much ‘bulk’ to show through the denim. Let me know if that works!

I like how you’ve matched your scarf and your pants, but in more complimentary rather than matchy-matchy shades – I think that’s my favourite part about this outfit . :) Really cool, polished look.
