Looks I Love At The Golden Globes 2011

The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards show 2011 was held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday 16th January 2011 in Beverly Hills, California. So many celebs graced the red carpet in their glamorous outfits so I had to blog it. I have included as many of the outfits from the star studded event as I could in this post, there are over 40 images and information on their clothes!

My favourite of the night has to be Olivia Wilde (above and below). She posed for photos wearing a chocolate brown sequined Marchesa Ballgown which she paired with Christian Louboutin Bridget Back ankle booties, Tiffany’s jewellery and a Judith Leiber clutch. She looks absolutely amazing, so much like a princess! This was definitely the best outfit of the evening.

Megan Fox looked simply beautiful in a baby pink Giorgio Armani Prive evening gown with an asymmetrical Swarovski covered strap. She paired this dress with Brian Atwood heels, Lorraine Schwartz jewellery and a Roger Vivier clutch. I think Megan truly is a beautiful woman and when she dresses up she looks incredible!

Anne Hathaway amazed me when I saw this dress! She was wearing a Giorgio Armani Prive evening gown in amber tones. This dress was from the Fall/Winter 2010 couture collection and it’s embellished with swarovski crystals and paillettes. I love the open back of it and Anne definitely has the body and class to pull this off. I love it!

I guessed Zac Efron would be wearing a very slim fitting dark suit and I was right. He chose his suit from Calvin Klein for the night. This time his trousers were a much better length and I think he looks great. I love the colour combination and the tuxedo stripe down the trousers. I think Zac looks better in suits now he is bigger, he fills them out a bit more. This is just another good outfit from him.

Sofia Vergara looked bright and colourful in a red Vera Wang dress which she paired with David Webb jewellery. I absolutely adore the cut of this dress, it’s slim in all the right places and then it flows out to create an amazing silhouette. The tie around the middle just accentuates her small waist and the colour is incredible. Sofia did a great job choosing this dress for her gorgeous curvy figure. She looks hot!

Heidi Klum looked so demure in her silk gauze halter dress by Marc Jacobs. The dress is so elegant and cheerful, it has that holiday beach feel to it. Heidi also wore a Marc Jacobs clutch to match and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery. This was definitely another amazing outfit from the evening. I love it! Heidi is such a beautiful woman.

Natalie Portman looked so sweet as she showed off her baby bump in a pale pink Viktor and Rolf dress with a rose on the neckline. Natalie chose to wear a pair of Stella McCartney heels, Tiffany & Co. jewellery and a Dior clutch with her dress. She looks so elegant and definitely classy. A lot of women struggle to find the classic look in a dress while pregnant, Natalie definitely got this one right.

Claire Danes wore a bright pink Calvin Klein Collection backless dress for the night which she accessorized with Fred Leighton earrings and a cuff. I love the shade of pink on this dress, it’s also really simple so it’s not too over the top. Claire looks fantastic and I would definitely wear a dress like this myself!

Mandy Moore chose to wear a blue puffy gown by Monique Lhullier which she paired with Brian Atwood heels, a Jimmy Choo bag and she finished off the look with Chopard jewellery. I think Mandy chose well with this dress. the mesh around the neckline keeps it looking classy and elegant while the boldness of the colour makes it striking.

Lea Michele picked a salmon pink coloured one shoulder dress with cascading ruffle detail by Oscar de la Renta for the night. She chose a pair of Christian Louboutin heels, Lorraine Schwartz jewellery and a Judith Leiber bag to complete her look. I think the colour of this dress is a little bit too pale but the fit is beautiful!

Angelina Jolie chose a daring shade of emerald green for her long sleeved swarovski crystal encrusted dress by Atelier Versace. Angelina opted for a pair of Ferragamo shoes and Robert Procop jewellery to top it off. I think she looks so striking in this dress and she always manages to look elegant in everything she wears.

Brad Pitt accompanied Angelina on the red carpet while wearing a Tom Ford tux. He definitely looks handsome in this tuxedo, I think he should have gone without the sunglasses though but that is a Brad trademark. It’s nice to see all the men bring out their suits for the night!

Leighton Meester chose a different kind of outfit for her red carpet entrance. I’m still unsure if I like it or not, it’s a bit too Victorian for my liking and pale, but Leighton is beautiful so she manages to pull it off. She wore a nude Crepon Print Ruched Crescent Dress from the Pre-Fall 2011 Burberry Prorsum collection which she paired with Jimmy Choo heels, a Louis Vuitton clutch and Cathy Waterman jewels.

Mila Kunis wore a beautiful emerald green Vera Wang dress with Lorraine Schwartz jewellery, a Judith Leiber clutch and Yves Saint Laurent heels. I love the colour of this dress on her, it matches her dark hair and eyes perfectly and it really stands out. The cut of it is also really beautiful for her figure.

Sandra Bullock wore a Jenny Packham sparkly pale pink dress on the red carpet of the Golden Globes 2011. She looks demure and so classic in this dress but I am not so sure on the cut, I think she could have picked something a little more modern. But Sandra pulls anything off when she wears it because of her beauty and she looks fantastic with her new hair cut. She finished off her look with Jimmy Choo Jigsaw platform shoes.

Jake Gyllaanal chose to wear a Burberry tuxedo for the night which he paired with Ferragamo black leather lace up shoes. Jake looked very handsome on the red carpet for the evening and this tux fits him very well. I like to see him dressed up instead of dressed down all the time.

Carrie Underwood looked so sparkly in a Badgley Mischka glittery gown which she paired with a Swarovski blush metallic leather clutch, Brian Atwood heels and Johnathon Ardnt accessories. This dress is one of my favourites that I have ever seen on Carrie, she looks stunning, but I do love glittery dresses!

Kelly Osbourne showed off her new slim figure on the red carpet in a Zac Posen black and white dress. Kelly wore a pair of Casadei shoes and Kimberly McDonald jewellery to complete her look. I’ve noticed Kelly always sticks to the darker colours but I think that’s just who she is, based on her background and past she definitely loves the more gothic look.

Australian Chris Hemsworth, looked very smart in his Giorgio Armani two-button shawl collar tuxedo. He looks so much like his brother Liam, minus the hairstyle. The suit fits him great but the trousers in my opinion are a little bit too loose. He looks good though!

Dianna Agron looked absolutely stunning in a J. Mendel dress which she paired with Cathy Waterman jewels and a cute clutch by Ferragamo. I love the simplicity of this dress and the neutral tones throughout the entire outfit. She looks simply divine and I love that!

Nicole Kidman graced the red carpet in a cream Prada gown with all over sequin embroidery. She finished her look with Pierre Hardy shoes, some Fred Leighton jewels and a Roger Vivier clutch. This, in my opinion, is not Nicole’s best look but she definitely looks beautiful.

January Jones stunned the paps in this bright red silk fringed dress by Versace. I find the dress to be beautiful but not very classy, it shows off too much of her for the Golden Globes in my opinion but it is absolutely amazing. She paired the dress with Versace patent leather heels and a black satin Versace clutch. Looks like it was Versace all around for January!

Scarlett Johansson picked an Elie Saab dress which she finished off with Van Cleef and Arpels jewelry and a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes. I do like this dress but the one thing I don’t like is the shoulders and sleeves, it would look much better if it just had simple straps. The embroidery is lovely though.

Christian Aguilera showed off her new and very curvy figure in a Zuhair Murad dress which she finished off with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes and a Valentino bag. I’m not sure about this dress on Christina though, it looks much too tight, especially under the armpits and it looks like she can’t breathe. I think she should have opted for something a little looser but the dress itself is absolutely stunning, I love the dress!

Robert Pattinson wore a Gucci Made to Order midnight navy Marseille grosgrain peak lapel one button tuxedo with a custom white dress shirt and a midnight navy tie for the awards show. I’ve never been attracted to Robert but this is definitely the best I have ever seen him look!

Eva Longoria opted for a fish tail style dress in black by Zac Posen. I love the shape of this dress, the neckline especially, it does wonders for Eva’s petite frame and I think she looks incredible.

Johnny Depp chose to wear something true to his style. He was wearing a Ralph Lauren Black Label tuxedo with Martin Katz cufflinks, but, being Johnny, he added a chain to his belt loops and a pair of tatty buckled shoes. I’ve always never really understood his style but I don’t think I need to, it’s Johnny Depp and he’s amazing!

Emma Stone wore a Calvin Klein collection peach dress and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry for the red carpet. She also wore a pair of Ferragamo nude python peep toe pumps. I think Emma is truly beautiful but this dress does nothing for her, she could have looked incredible if she chose a pewter sparkly dress. The colour of this washes her out and it has no shape unfortunately.

Christina Hendricks showed off her curves in this Romona Keveza’s elegant red silk crepe one shoulder gown with a ruffled strap. She finished off her look with Chopard earrings and bracelets and she looks stunning! I love red dresses, so many celebs look bold and bright in red and Christina is no exception!

Justin Bieber actually donned a smart suit for an event! He ditched his jeans and jackets for this Dolce & Gabbana suit, but he did keep his trademark, his high tops. At least he picked black ones this time. It’s nice to see him dressed up, but I think his suit could be a little more fitted.

Amy Adams opted for a Marchesa teal sculpted lasercut scaplloped one shoulder gown which she paired with Brian Atwood’s black suede Wagner pumps. I love Amy and this dress is beautiful for her, I love the fit of it, especially the tail and the colour is beautiful. Amy has such a natural beauty to her, I find she doesn’t need much make up either.

Amber Riley looked incredible in this one-shoulder silver dress by Oliver Tolentino. I adore the cut of this dress and the way it fits her, it’s stunning and the sequins just add so much class to the look. Amber is very curvy which is nice to see on the red carpet, she’s beautiful and I just love how she looks here, I want this dress!

Jennifer Love Hewitt wore a Romona Keveza dress with a pair of Casadei shoes for the Golden Globes 2011. She also wore a Jennifer Behr belt, a Sang A clutch, three Le Vian rings and a bracelet for her red carpet entrance. I wasn’t so sure on this dress at first but the more I look at it, the more beautiful it is. The ruffles are pretty but I think they should be a little smaller along the bust area.

Julianne Hough wore a beautifully elegant black Marchesa gown with an embellished neckline for the night. This dress is so simple but so powerful, it definitely makes a statement and it’s the perfect cut for Julianne’s figure.

Helena Bonham Carter wore a very intriguing Vivienne Westwood dress with completely miss matched shoes and round black lens glasses. I don’t like this outfit at all on her, it’s all wrong for her but she has such a quirky style and personality she likes to wear anything she wants to. She definitely makes up for her dress sense with her acting though.

Excellent post 🙂 Thanks for sharing the outfits, must have taken you ages to do this though.
I agree I think Olivia Wilde’s outfit is the best of the night. I do like Hathaway’s too though, Megan Fox looks pretty good as well.

It’s amazing how many got this right for once. However, I believe Emma has become the new Lindsay Lohan with her blonde hair and stupid facial expressions. She’s gorgeous as a redhead and they should have stuck with that.

And I know Rob looked good 😉 MMM he sure knows how to work it!
